Until further notice – shipping within Germany only

For organisational reasons, we are currently only delivering to addresses within Germany.

Orders with a German delivery address can therefore be placed as usual; nothing changes for you. Shipping to other EU countries and other countries is currently on hold.

We would like to explain openly why.

What this is about

Anyone who sends goods also puts packaging into circulation: cardboard, padding, adhesive tape. Every country has its own environmental regulations for this packaging. You have to register, obtain a licence for the quantities of packaging and report them regularly. In Germany, we naturally take care of this ourselves.

When shipping abroad, things get complicated. Every country requires its own registration, its own fees and its own reporting. From summer 2026, there will be an additional requirement for shipments to other EU countries: an official representative must be appointed in each individual destination country.

Just how disproportionate this is for a small business is illustrated by an example from the industry: another small retailer has calculated that shipping goods worth around €4,000 to all EU countries, including the necessary authorised representatives, would cost them around €12,000 a year. Given the number of international orders we receive, such an expense is completely out of proportion.

Why we’re pausing rather than improvising

We could try to circumvent these rules or comply with them half-heartedly. We don’t want to do that. For the time being, we’d rather only deliver to places where we can meet all obligations properly and in full, rather than operating somewhere on the fringes of the regulations. That fits with the way we run this business.

What this means for you

If your delivery address is in Germany, nothing changes. You can order as usual.

If your delivery address is outside Germany, we are unfortunately unable to dispatch your order at the moment.

What happens next

We are keeping a close eye on developments.

Work is currently underway at EU level to significantly simplify these obligations. As soon as the effort involved becomes manageable again for a small business, we will resume international shipping. So “until further notice” is definitely not “forever”; we want to continue growing and deliver across borders again.

Do you live abroad but still want to place an order?

Simply get in touch via the contact form. In many cases, we can find a solution together, such as delivery to an address in Germany.

Thank you very much for your understanding.
